"I will soar with You above the storm"
Distraught at my results, I went home with a heavy and depressed heart.
I sought God and asked, "why?" why did i do badly after the considerable amounts of effort i have put in? all sense of hope in me was gone and failure had transformed me into leaking tap. the tears kept coming. i felt so hopeless! but i remembered that God is still here with me, by my side, forever and always. I prayed and had a talk with God. haha:) i had realised one thing through my failures. Nothing really extraordinary comes from our own efforts. i had pretty much focused most of my time studying and neglected God, taking for granted the fact that He will, by His grace and mercy, save me. BUT, that isn;t what God wants us, me rather, to do! He wants me to include Him in everything I do. something i overlooked. so i said, ok Lord. WE shall work together on my grades. hand in hand. and he said, that's the way my child. As i walked back home from the bus stop, i stared up at the sky, just admiring the clouds and soaking in the day's happenings. THEN. I SAW IT. I SAW GOD'S MESSAGE. He's really an interesting Father you know, sending me a message through the fluffy white clouds of His creation HAHA. positioned right across the sky were 2 eagles, a big one and a small one. The big eagle seemed as though it was leading the small eagle which followed suit. immediately, the words formed in my mind. "I will soar with You above the storm." God is truly amazing isn't He? sending me pretty and meaningful clouds to cheer me up and to remind me that with Him, NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE. GOD IS HOPE. HE IS MY HOPE. YOURS TOO. when we work hand in hand with God, guided by His wisdom, we will indeed, soar on wings like eagles! and overcome ALL ODDS. nothing can beat us down for God will always be right by our side, with His everlasting love <3
hope this testimony of mine will inspire all of you out there! especially those who are experiencing failures in some way:) GOD LOVES YOU AND ME! hehehe:D

This verse really ties in with the amazing vision i had weeks back. I would really want to share my vision with you but i just can't find words fit enough to express it to you. I'll tell you guys if I ever am able to HAHA

So. We all have a purpose in this world. Everyday, God grants us one more day to live on! And for what purpose? well, mine would be to SPREAD GOD'S WORD! WHOO! YEAH!:]

A Test of Faith

Our faith sees the invisible, believes the unbelievable and achieves the impossible...

hey everyone. haha. it's been quite a while! recently, i experienced what it was to place all my faith in the Lord. I usually have great amounts of faith in the Lord but this time, somehow or rather, it was hard. No matter how much i wanted to put my faith and hope in the Lord, the feeling of doubt held me back for i kept thinking that the inevitable would happen. Great thanks to all my dear friends who have reminded me of how great our God is and held me up in that short period of helplessness.

"Faith is what you hope for and certain of what you do not see" Hebrews 11:1

Nevertheless, God has shown me just what an almighty God his is and has reminded me that He will always hear our cries and prayers, never once forsaking us. God is truly an amazing and powerful God that loves each an everyone one of us so so so much!

We walk by faith and not by sight!:)

1 Thessalonians 5:17 "pray unceasingly"

We all are spiritual beings in need of spiritual strength.
Each and everyone of us are spirits, have souls and live in bodies. We draw/strength from God through our prayers. So NEVER FORGET TO PRAY!
sometimes we become so self-reliant that we cease to pray, thinking that we have the situation under control. BUT THAT'S NOT RIGHT. we often fail so miserably at times like these. SO let God take control! PRAYYYY!
sometimes we have the mindset that God has already made a plan for us and that whether we pray or not does not alter the course of our future. BUT THAT'S NOT RIGHT EITHER! God does not help anyone who does not put in any effort. SO PRAYY!

If we fail in prayer, we fail everywhere.
If we succeed in prayer, we succeed everywhere!

so NEVER FORGET TO PRAY!

A Partial Surrender

Luke 9:57-62

I've realised that I'm so similar to these 3 men who had wanted to become Jesus's disciples.
Jesus had rejected them out rightly because they had failed to put Him first. Likewise, Jesus will reject me too. I've always had the desire to surrender myself wholly to the Lord but this desire constantly fails to overcome the knowledge that I have to make many sacrifices one of which is my family and friends. That's my conclusion made after reading the above scriptures. What do you think? I tend to put school work as my top priority, so that is another sacrifice for me. I truly believe that surrendering myself wholly to the Lord does require lots of discipline. The desire to surrender must be so overwhelming and great that nothing else matters after that.
Pray with and for me, that soon, I will be able to surrender myself wholly to the Lord.
Amen.

Crossing The Line

time flies and yet another year has begun...

HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone!

Earlier this morning, my pastor gave us a rather interesting sermon, of which I felt lead by God to share it with you.

It's about crossing lines. Have you ever been in a situation during which you had wanted to do something but just did not have the courage to do so because you felt afraid and doubtful? I'm sure you have. I certainly have had many such experiences. In Matthew 14: 25-33, the Lord had stood on the sea and asked Peter to walk towards Him. So Peter did as he was told. He had managed to walk on water till his faith in the Lord dimmed when he saw the fierce winds and roaring seas. He began to drown.

We all must hold steadfast in our faith, for the Lord has told us to trust in Him and lean not unto our own understanding. The lines that you and I have to cross may make us look/feel out of ordinary...but does the Lord want us to be ordinary people? No!

The lines that we have to cross are unique to each individual. It can be as simple as learning to trust a friend or even having more faith in the Lord as we journey through our lives with him! or perhaps, it could be something that the Lord wants us to do for him.

A new year is about leaving the past behind, setting new goals and moving forward in our lives.

Everyone has new year resolutions...but have you ever been able to fulfil every single one? Is/are there any goals that you have tried to achieve but have never been able to do so after many years? You see, today i've learnt that these lines are our challenges set before us, challenges that we cannot run away from but simple have to learn how to overcome them and cross the lines. So i pray today, that our heavenly Father will give us the strength and courage to cross the lines set before us and that He will free us from all fear and doubt for he has not given us the spirit of fear! Amen!

So from today onwards, realise the lines that you have to cross, do not runaway from them but face them with new found courage and strength from the Lord.

The Lord has told us that nothing is impossible with Him!

Hey guys, holidays are here! :) but let's make this holiday a meaningful one, don't let it be one where you just slack and stone at home. I just want to encourage everyone to make good use of their time, cause as the usual saying goes, time is precious. And it might be also relieving for some, as their tests and projects are finally over, but for some unfortunate ones, who have exams in July, I just want to encourage you to hang in there and never give up on your studies. No matter how stressed you are, how much work there is, I just want to remind you that there is someone who loves you, and is more than willing to be your support, who never ever forsakes you. His love is a love like no other! He is more than willing to listen to your complains, your troubles. Challenge him if you need to. There is one of my friend that challenged God is He is real than show him a sign, and he accepted Christ the following week as God has truly shown him a sign. Well, no matter if you believe in Jesus or not, I just pray that He will bless you and continue to pour down blessings in your life, help you out of your problems. Remember, He is always there for you, lean on Him as He is willing to be your supporting pillar. :)

Hey guys,

isn't it true that people are not forgiving others, bearing grudges and trying to get back at them at times? But remember what God said, what reward is there if all you do is just loving someone that loved you? However, if you still love someone who have done something that hurts you, there will be a reward. Remember, its not as though you keep offering your other cheek to others to hurt you, but still love them as though how Jesus loves you, for God is the one who will punish those who harm you in the end. So guys, lets just be forgiving and constantly love each other. Be it you're a christian or not, I just hope that we can learn to forgive others and put down whatever grudges that you're holding on to. We have only one life, and time doesn't wait for us. SO it's up to you whether you want to live a life filled with happiness, or a life filled with grudges, sadness, and anger. I just pray that we will live this one life meaningfully and with joy. :)

There is a God that truly loves you and have a good plan for you life. He have left his comfort zone and died on the cross for you. I just pray that you would accept His love, and love him back. No matter what difficult circumstances that you are going through, this God is there for you and He will always love you and solve your problems if you are willing to open up your heart to him. Trust me, it will be something that you will never regret if you are willing to make that decision to accept His love on the cross. Just remember this at all times, Jesus loves you. (:

父啊！赦免他们！应为他们所做的，他们不晓得。

I hear of a story:

Once, a guy who was a gangster was invited to go to a church. When he went there, he was touched by God’s love and decided to baptize and become a Christian. However, when Pastor submerged his body into the water, he left his hands un-submerged. He held it up high so that it is left untouched by the water. He then told the pastor “I can fully commit my whole body to Christ but please leave my hands untouched. After I revenge, those who have done wrong to me, then a will submerge my hands into the water. For now, my whole body can be committed but not my both hands.

I felt that sometimes even Christians are like that. Many others are like that. They just cannot forgive people who have done them wrong. Myself too. When someone makes me angry, I feel so agitated that I want to get back. If not I won’t feel happy. But this is not the right way. And I was really touched.

Jesus died on the cross for us sinners. He had to suffer SO much. The whips, the mocks, the saliva, many many things. He did nothing wrong to deserve this but yet, He is doing these cause of us. He even asked God to forgive us as He died on the Cross for us. We caused him to have such pain and suffering but yet, He is pleading for us to be saved. We should be like Him.

From then on, I made a promise to myself that I will forgive people. Have a merciful heart and forgiving heart just like our Father. I want to be like Him. He loved us so much. I hope you guys will understand this post.and hopefully you guys will learn to LOVE UR ENEMIES(:

I know its hard. But with God, Through God, everything can be done. Faith.trust.

Hey dearies!

I just want to say, we could not have done it without God's grace when we gave out the bookmarks on thursday:) you could say it was the moment we all were preparing for, reaching out to our juniors and bringing them closer to our Lord Jesus Christ:) Haha, doesn't God work wonderful ways in our lives? We are like his little messengers, don't you all think? Never in my wildest dreams did I think that I would one day be reaching out to people and touching their lives! But I just did! I never had the courage to reach out to people and tell them more about Jesus, for fear of their responses and rejection. But as we sat down and prayed that thursday morning, I was reminded that God did not give us the spirit of fear and that really gave me courage and strength:) As it will always be, with God, all things are possible! Way to go my dears! Let's continue to impact people's lives by showing them God's everlasting love!

SPREAD THE FIRE!

Hi guys! Its me, Luke again. haha well, today I'm just going to share some things that I have learnt and is from my heart.

"For, God has not given us the spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self discipline."
2 Timothy 1:7 (NLT)

"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
Philippians 4:13 (NKJV)

In school, it may seem boring and you may feel that God is not going to use you today. However, change your mindset! School is NOT boring, it is an opportunity to save souls, touch lives, and you might even change someone's life forever! God wants us to see opportunities in everyday of our life! Even in adversities, God want us to see opportunities in it. Even when we're going through the worst season in our lives, think of it as a opportunity for God to bring us through it. School is not just a place where we prepare for our future career, improve our education, but rather, it is a mission field for us christians! It is a ground of opportunities for us to change lives. God uses us, young people! Never say you're too young, or have too little knowledge, talents, abilities... However, God can use us in our limited talents, giftings! Have faith in GOD! God has made us the way we are, and hence, would use us the way we are! Think about it, you may sing songs like "Jesus, you're the way, the truth and the life. We live by faith and not by sight". But are we really acting it out? or are we just lip singing, and not doing it. It is easy to sing, but acting it out requires your step of faith.

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding."
Proverbs 3:5

Trust in God, have faith in him! As no one is greater than he is! He is going to use you, no matter what situations you are placed in, your background, your history, your limited giftings, your limited talents! HE WILL USE EACH AND EVERYONE OF US! Just have the faith and obedience to him and he will use us greatly, in a way that you can never imagine. When we are on fire for God, fire spreads, and others around you will be impacted by this fire of God. Imagine ourselves (chrisitians) to be the fuel, and our unsaved friends to be the wood. They are dry and lack of the awesome God that we have. However, as we do our part, taking that step of faith, God will set us on fire. When we fuels, are on fire for God, we will start to burn with that passion and the dry woods (unsaved friends) would be caught in that fire and start to burn as well. As dry woods burn easily and once it is burned, it is changed forever! Hence, when we are on fire for God, we will impact lives around us and start to change their lives forever! Do not be afraid! God is with you always! He lives in us! So come on christians, lets just be fired up for God, and do things we never dreamt of doing! Nothing is impossible for him, so lets go out to our school and spread the fire!

Share Jesus Without Fear

since we're gonna be doing an outreach, i just thought that i could share this method of evangelism with you all... though i don't think it'll really be applicable for the outreach of strangers, but i think it'll help if we wanna reach out to our friends. ((:

STEP ONE
Use questions that determine where God is working.

Do you have any kind of spiritual belief?
To you, who is Jesus?
Do you believe there is a heaven and a hell?
If you died right now, where would you go? If heaven, why?
If what you believe were not true, would you want to know it?

"Yes" - open Bible
"No" - do nothing (like change the subject of sth)

STEP TWO
Let the Bible speak.
Ask them to read the verse aloud and then ask what the verse means to THEM (i.e. you don't explain the verse to them, let them have their own interpretation). It'll be more convenient for the reader to find the verse if its highlighted already. (:

Romans 3:23 - "All have sinned."
Romans 6:23 - "The wages of sin is death."
John 3:3 - "You must be born again." Ask, why did Jesus come to die?
John 14:6 - "I am the way."
Romans 10:9-11 - "If you confess ... you will be saved."
2 Corinthians 5:15 - "Those that live should no longer live for themselves."
Revelation 3:20 - "I stand at the door and knock."

STEP THREE
Close with Key Questions.

Are you a sinner?
Do you want forgiveness for your sins?
Do you believe Jesus died on the cross for you and rose again?
Are you willing to surrender your life to Christ?
Are you ready to invite Jesus into your life and into your heart?

Be Silent ... and Pray.
(of course, the person must say 'yes' first :P)

PRAYER
Read one line, and ask them to repeat after you, and mean each line they say with all their heart. (:

Heavenly Father, I have sinned against You.
I want forgiveness for all my sins. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for me and rose again.
Father, I give You my life to do with as You wish. I want Jesus Christ to come into my life and into my heart. This I ask in Jesus' name.
Amen.

Hello everyone! I'm Luke from NJC, JH406. On behalf of my prayergroup, I want to say thank you to all those who came to visit this small blog of ours.

Up till now, you may ask, what is Revelations? Well, it is just a group of us who wants to spread the God's love to others through many small little ways of ours. Basically, we are just a prayergroup in NJC, praying for our school that there would be a revival, and many would start to know this awesome God of ours. Now, you may think, but why Revelations this name? As we seek new revelations from God, we also want to show God's revelation to every single one of you, by showing you his awesome love.

As we came into this school, We believe its not just random or coincidental, but rather we were fated to be placed in this school by God. Hence, I want to save my unsaved friends, get as many people to know Christ and feel the love of God, as he is really awesome. You might think we are crazy to just stand up for Christ in our school and expressing our faith in this way. But i can assure you, it is definately worth it! You might be wondering, why are you loving him and expressing you love to him in such a manner. The only 2 words i would reply is, Experience Him!

For me as an instance, even before I get to know him, my life was just wrong. My studies were bad, I spoke much coarse language just like it is part of me and threw my temper every single day of my life at even the smallest thing. You may think i'm exaggerating, but it is true. Ever since, i came to know God and his love. His love just touched me, and slowly changed me for the better. I won't say I'm better than you, but I just want you to get to know him. You will not regret it!

So, any christians that is reading up our blog and is from national junior college. Why not come join us? and for the non-christians, we will be more than happy for you to join us, even if it is only for a session. It doesn't matter if you are a christian or not, if you are interested, come join us!
